The computing platform is what matters. It’s one thing if you’re the big fish with THE platform. However, it may be more difficult than you think. I find it difficult enough to switch phone carriers. Maybe not, necessarily, for myself, but I find it difficult to get all my friends to switch with me. The benefit of a platform is exclusive lock-in.
